Café Ficelle in Ventura opened in June of 2017 and shortly after became one of my favorite go to spots in town. Since first opening, they have expanded their menu to now include lunch items, wine, beer, and even a happy hour.
I love going on a weekend morning for breakfast, everything is so fresh and delicious, and the ambiance is inviting and fresh. It is the perfect sampling of French cuisine that our quaint town needed. The breakfast is not to be missed, but even just stopping in for a coffee and some pastries will leave you hooked!
The coffee is just as good as the pastries, trust me waiting the extra few minutes for that coffee is worth it. They even take special orders for cakes, and desserts perfect for those special occasions. Breakfast at Café Ficelle is a great time to get acquainted with the new hot spot. The menu has some traditional items like fruit crepes, and hearty favorites like Croque-Monsieur. They are planning to open a second location in Camarillo, this summer but for now the only location is in Ventura. I highly recommend making a special trip even if you live outside Ventura I promise it is worth the trip.
